Harry Potter and the Stack of Unmarked Papers
If I mark like hell for the next four hours, do I allow myself to go see a matinee of HP? I really liked it when we saw it on opening night, but the theater was so packed with preteens (who screamed everytime Harry came on screen) that we had to sit right in front of the screen. In addition to a splitting headache, I kind of feel like I missed quite a bit of the story since I was concentrating so hard on not feeling completely uncomfortable.
Anyone want to share a bucket of popcorn and a flick at 4:45? Rat boots are on me.

Good luck on the papers. Rat boots? Hu? Call me uneducated. You know what? Girls who screem over guys they don't know... rather disgust me a little. Anyway.

Lol. Rat boots are my new superpower. They are boots that look normal to the human eye but are teh sexah to those of the rat persuasion (aka they got ran over by a very large rat last night, which I can only assume is tacit approval for the texture and style of the boot itself).
I would be disgusted at girls who scream but it would make a rather large hypocrite of me. My 12 year old self did a full-on scream+fall-on-the-floor combo when Wayne Gretzky (in the Edmonton Oiler, pre-Janet days) came on the screen of our small black and white tv. God, I was an embarassing kid.
i love how i can't drag you to the gym... but a second showing of HP and you're ditching your papers.
i might go. i'm supposed to be cleaning the house.
I knew that might come up. Damn you, public journal. Damn you to hell! Yeah, busted, etc...
Actually, now I'm having ditch guilt and am thinking that I should finish the papers and then go to the movie on Saturday. That way I don't have to stay up all night freaking out over how badly the kids these days write essays.
You haven't seen the HP4 yet, have you? If you answer in the affirmative, I send you a net version of the Imperious Curse and compel you not to go unless with me. Saturday. 3:45. Dance, poppet, dance.
Hmm, marking papers. I've blocked that from my memory. What? Who? Where am I?
i went monday night as part of my operation bag jet lag.
and saturday i'm supervising at the uni until about 2. so i might be able to make it. but do you have sat night free? i think we are having folks over.
god, just pick up a phone julia.
shouldn't we all be working right now? !? (except me, i'm unemployed)
Oh touche. One more comment like that and you are banned! Just kidding. Yes, you are right. I should be working and I'm gonna. Right now.
Meh, why pick up a phone, just cause we live in the same city. That's so 1999. I think you can make it no problem on Saturday since it'll be one express bus to get to the film. And while I'm at it, hellooo, Imperious Curse? You don't have a choice. And then yes, I will come over to meet these "people" of whom you speak.
i'm gonna go work to... could you use the imperious curse to get me to clean please?
Did you see it? Was it good?
Alas, did not make it to the matinee. I just finished marking all 89 papers, and will take myself out sometime soon in celebration. I have already seen HP4, so there's no big rush. I quite enjoyed it the first time round (though we were wayyyy too close to the screen), it's much more dark and adult oriented, like the 3rd one.
