Where are my good pants and my power top?

I'm trying to keep the screaming excitement to a dull roar, but I can't sit still: the head of my discipline's department at a local college just called to see if I would be interested in filling in for him due to a medical emergency. I'd be teaching a whole course for the fall (to prepare for in three weeks, ai ya) of My Discipline 101. He's throwing together a quick hiring committee, and there are two other possible candidates. The only thing that might make someone else more attractive is that I can only teach one of the two sections, but that's because my other teaching commitment conflicts with Section 2, so it kinda looks good anyways, right? Department Representative doesn't know how come he has my CV, but he does, and would I be interested?* God, I love jobs that (potentially, don't get ahead of yourself, m'dear) fall from the sky at random.


*I applied for a marking position there, like two years ago, long before finishing my MA, and with my non-spiffied CV to boot!
